Knox – weekly 10.30 am, Communion on 3rd Sunday each month
The Bethel Chapel on the Ahuriri spit built in 1866 is one of the first Churches built in Napier. Mrs Wilson, a widow from Scotland, was determined there should be a church in the settler community of Napier. By selling her rings and writing home to Scotland for help she raised the funds for the Bethel Chapel, now renamed Wilson Hall in her honour. The Knox church was built in 1897 and this beautiful wooden building is a testimony to God’s faithful people who built and have maintained it down through the decades. This has never been more than a small congregation but they remained faithful to the calling of God through good and difficult times. We, the current members, stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us and long to be faithful to the vision of this church;
