Tutira Services– 4.30 pm, 3rd Sunday of the month

This church was built using a lot of volunteer labour in the 1950’s It is sited beautifully overlooking Lake Tutira, about 35 Kms north of Napier on highway 2. The front windows look out over the lake. The history of the district in rich in the faithful witness of home missionaries who often rode many miles on horseback to carry out services to families in isolated parts of the northern districts of Napier.
The community built and maintains Tutira Community Church. It was used in rotation by Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Presbyterians and others in its earlier years. Our monthly service is followed with a time of fellowship and a pot luck tea together.
Inside the church you will find memorial plaques to those who served and gave their lives in both wars from local districts.
